A 20-meter rotunda is a magnet for our visitors – the majestic pinnacle rising above the immaculately designed grounds of this stunning villa. Its distinctive dome is hand decorated with striking Florentine mosaics and adorned with classic columns. It creates a truly European feel and offers a sophisticated backdrop to your photos. The columns and balusters are loved by photographers as they create perfect lines, a game of light and shadows, helping them create breathtaking shots.
Italian Charm
A few steps away from the magnificent Rotunda, there is a lovely courtyard with a main fountain, white pergolas and another feature fountain with hand-laid mosaics. This area is also popular as a truly romantic setting that instantly transfers you to the atmosphere of good old Italy!

A luxurious, one of a kind in New Zealand, marble hall lined with different kinds of marble setting off beautiful Rosa Verona marble. The hall ends with a grand fireplace, and when you look up, you will be instantly blinded by the immense beauty of the Murano crystal chandeliers creating whimsical reflections on marble walls and the floor. Multiple French doors and white draping create a perfect romantic atmosphere for your shots.

This allows ample time for pack-in and pack-out, as well as the opportunity to explore our expansive estate with its numerous beautiful locations. Yes — drone use may be permitted at Lone Pine Estate, provided the necessary request or approval is arranged in advance by your photographer, videographer or licensed drone operator. As we are located near a military base, prior approval is essential.
How long is the minimum booking?
The minimum booking for photo and video shoots is 2 hours.
Do we need to bring our own photographer or videographer?
Yes — your own photographer, videographer or creative team will be required for the shoot. Lone Pine Estate provides the venue and access to the location, while all photography and video services are arranged separately by you.
Can we hold commercial photo or video shoots at Lone Pine Estate?
Yes — commercial shoots are welcome. Please email us first with details of the brand, campaign or production you are planning, so we can review the concept and confirm approval before booking.
Can we reschedule in case of bad weather or unexpected circumstances?
Yes — if the weather is unsuitable, or if any unforeseen circumstances arise, we are happy to reschedule your shoot to another available date at Lone Pine Estate.
Can we get changed on-site?
Yes — of course. We have a lovely private space on-site that works beautifully for getting changed before or during your shoot.
